Work Begins on Lymington Road Skate Park
Westgate-on-Sea Town Council
Following a unanimous vote at an Extraordinary Full Council Meeting on Friday 31 October, a community rebuild of the skate park at Lymington Road Recreation Ground began yesterday with the removal of the old ramps.
Phase One involves building a concrete mini ramp expected to be completed by the end of the year. Phase Two is scheduled to begin in the spring and will be a street area due to be finished by May 2026.
The rebuild of the skate park is a joint project between Westgate-on-Sea Town Council and Margate Skateboard Club CIC. Funding comprises grants, match funding by Westgate-on-Sea Town Council and a community fundraiser.
