Pancake Races, Photo Exhibition & Talk

There’s just a week to go until the traditional Westgate-on-Sea Pancake Races return to Station Road between 10am and 12 noon. We can’t wait to see you all flipping the pancakes just like in years gone by! There’s still time to get involved, so do get in touch if you’d like to take part.

This year we will also be hosting a wonderful photographic exhibition at our offices on St Mildreds Road celebrating the history of the races in our town. Opening later the same day, Tuesday 4th March, the exhibition launch will include a fascinating talk by Sally Whitworth from Westgate-on-Sea Heritage Centre. Starting at 6pm, Sally will speak about the origins of the races and the history of Westgate’s shops and businesses. It promises to be an excellent evening and all are welcome.
