Southern Water - Temporary Road Closure - A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate On Sea - 27th March 2025 (Thanet District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Southern Water, it will be necessary to close part of A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate On Sea, from 27th March 2025 with estimated completion by 28th March 2025.

A28 Canterbury Road, Westgate On Sea, will be closed at the junction of Queens Road, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, A28 Marine Terrace, A254 Belgrave Road, A254 Eaton Road, A255 Grosvenor Gardens, A255 High Street, A255 Ramsgate Road, A254 Ramsgate Road, A254 Margate Road, A256 Haine Road, A256 New Haine Road, A256 Haine Road, A256 Canterbury Road West, A299 Hengist Way, A299 Canterbury Road West, A299 Thanet Way, A28 Canterbury Road, A28 The Square and A28 Canterbury Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing water works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Southern Water.
